I know as a fellow perfectionist myself, I have to remind myself that it's ok to be less than perfect and that making mistakes is often part of the learning process. I would also agree that while we can control the effort, we cannot control the outcome.AJhttp://relief4anxiety.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5168359106248327458.post-16993773830927747372012-02-10T08:07:24.683-08:002012-02-10T08:07:24.683-08:00It's a good thing to try to do the best and no...It's a good thing to try to do the best and not be a mediocre person. But what happens if for some reason you don't get the result that you expected? You feel bad, your self-esteem falls in the floor, and I think that is not healthy at all. It's ok to "fail" and believe me most times it's a fail in our own high standards. We have to understand that we are not perfect, but we are good! I admire people who don't depend on their grades or on what they do to be happy, but in who they are. It is better gracefull imperfection than perfection without grace .Kenhttp://www.clarendonconsulting.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5168359106248327458.post-63495180441568951622012-01-27T17:59:06.717-08:002012-01-27T17:59:06.717-08:00Thank you all for your kind comments.Thank you all for your kind comments.Doughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15199636855968206146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5168359106248327458.post-31537864365691820022012-01-26T17:00:13.427-08:002012-01-26T17:00:13.427-08:00Nice post. everyone stumbles at some point in thei...Nice post. everyone stumbles at some point in their life, which is actually what makes life itself worth living. :) I think a person really doesn't need to strive for perfection, but for love.kris williamshttp://www.talkwelisten.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5168359106248327458.post-58525687112262566662012-01-15T07:33:04.863-08:002012-01-15T07:33:04.863-08:00You can control the effort, but you can't alwa...You can control the effort, but you can't always control the outcome. It's always good to want to do well, but we have to be realistic and, like Ryan said, remind ourselves that no one is perfect.Mikehttp://www.talkwelisten.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5168359106248327458.post-84349947109220120062012-01-13T21:37:49.784-08:002012-01-13T21:37:49.784-08:00Great post, Doug.
